Morning all,

Has anyone bought seeds from this company? Their online catalogue has some very interesting things in it and I'm hoping that someone can tell me they're as good as they look!

I haven't bought anything from them yet, but have grown some of their seed from swaps.  Seeds fine, and I did email them about my watermelons and they were very helpful, so I shall be ordering some seed for next year.  I too like the look of what they have on offer :-)

I like Real Seeds â€" got most of my squashes from them this year. The corn and tomatoes were also winners and they give you a lot of lettuce seeds. Actually, I'd say they and Marshalls are the main supplier to my allotment.

I find them excellent; I'll be sending an order off to them in a month or two.

I've ordered twice from them. I highly reccomended them. The information you get with the seeds is great even tells you how to preserve and save the seeds! Organic, OP, helpful, and enthusiastic! I cant praise them enough!

Just want to add another endorsement - I've ordered from them twice and have been 100% satisfied with the seeds they supplied.  I especially recommend the peppers, tomatoes and beans  - excellent varieties, excellent germination rates.  Over the winter I will order more from them.

Can anyone comment on the variety of sweetcorn that they sell?  How does it compare with the F1 supersweet varieties? (sorry if the question is a bit off-topic)

I grew the Ashworth variety they offered this year and it was quite nice, morningstar. Nice fat sweet kernels. I'm intrigued by the bi-colour one they're offering next year, will give it a whirl!

And very helpful. Ambhibian and I both found we had a 'mutant' tomato in amongst our Latah seedlings - an e-mail to them produced an informative and practical reply (and a request to send them some seed from the odd-ones-out, if at all possible).

Good crops, taste great, varieties that survive well on the lottie (and raise the occasional eyebrow) or in the garden... and if you wish you can follow the seed saving instructions and do your own selecting for next year's crops. And those Cherokee beans just don't know how to stop cropping.

I ended up with an excess of young tomato/cucumber plants, gave them away, and yesterday got a bag full of ripe tomatoes from friends who were swamped with the return (all outdoor grown), while the Wautoma cucumber they went away with, never got around to being trellised... but is quite happy sprawling on the allotment, and currently still has 13 big cucumbers on it, despite lots being given away.

I love this company,I've had Aubergines,French purple beans, basil,chilli's, they tell you how to grow and how to save seed, can't praise them enough/shades x

I agree they are really interesting seeds  which are supposed to be more suited to armature growing rather than the regular seed companies who mainly develop seeds for commercial organisations - apparently.  Only slight gripe you can't pay with credit card so had to use someone else's Paypal account though I think you can send a cheque.

It terms of service and seed quality, they are the best company I have ever dealt with.

I got their spring catalogue but didn't buy any. I kept reading every day wondering which one to buy and missed the timing. :-[
I found the catalogue very good, their enthusiasm is infectious. Only problem is that it makes me want to buy all the seeds on the catalogue!

I didn't have any luck with Ashworth sweetcorn. Haven't had any luck for ages with other varieties since our first plot year when we found ourselves stuffing a dozen or so cobs in our gobs as we did some plot clearing. I can't remember the name of that variety though.

My Ashworth seeds were eaten by mice, but I'll be trying it again next year. Is there anything in their paper catalogue which isn't online?

We're talking about Real Seeds??
