Portulaca are MY fave! - in fact, the only flower I really like...just a pity that the seeds are dust-fine...never managed to get them to grow & have had to BUY plants :o, so yes please Missus, I'd love a freebie & give them one more go.

am out taking down the sweet pea triffids atm (to let more precious sunlight into No. 2 g/h to try and persuade the aubs to fruit) and raising the raised beds even higher, so I'll come back to you all individually later tonight.

can i have some of your marigold seeds please, if you've still got some. the last lot you gave me did four gardens and my plot, and were gorgeous!!

:-[ how do i save seeds from them? i've managed to save seeds from sweet pea, godetia, and loadsa lupins, but if i remember right the marigold seeds were kinda like wee feathery skelfs!!

all you do (i think) is save some of the flowers you've deadheaded.  let them dry off thoroughly.  once dried put em in a paper bag and shake ! 

I've still got plenty from last year stock and have got this years drying now.  so we're covered both ways !

i'll swap you with some lupins.  mine came to nowt this year.

bit of a bummer this weather eh ?  back to normal lol.

you're too good to me. nice sunny day today, perfect for the plot if callum hadn't fell in school this morning and cut his head.  :'(  poor wee souls got two butterfly stitches, and if it doesn't stop bleeding in the next ten minutes i'm taking him to yorkhill. tiny wee cut on his forehead, but still seeping a wee bit. i hate it when they hurt themselves, cany sit still. x

he's fine, amazing what  trip to mcdonalds can do.  ::)  a couple of days off school too, he's got me right where he wants me eh!! i've never known a wean crack his head as often as he does, i'm gonny send him out the door in a crash helmet hidden under a balaclava, that should sort him out.  got some marigold seeds today from deadheading like you said. cheers
