LL2 posted this picture of a Wildlife Tower on another forum - her next project - and kindly allowed me to post it here :o

I'm intrigued.  Can see how it might attract lacewings, ladybirds, bees etc but it appears to be in the middle of a plot rather than sheltered against a wall/fence which is what I thought they needed.  Can you tell us anymore about it?

Sorry no G, it was posted as a link in a different topic among other pics of her lottie. I agree, it's intriguing! LL2 hasn't visited for a while as her puter has trouble with the bells and whistles here. If there are a bunch of questions I can alert her to take a look at this thread :)

What was that tower building game that was so popular, maybe ten years back.  Jenga or summat?  Had to pull a brick/tile from anywhere in the tower and place it on top without making the tower fall over.  Reminds me of that!  ;)

Erm Jenga is a popular favourite today in some peoples' homes :P ::) Last year I saw a whopper garden version - should have snapped it up in the sale ;)

thats lovely isnt it. so easy to make as well.  would take up alot of room though. my kids love jenga.

I think it is one of the most loveliest garden creations I have seen for a long time and I could even imagine snails taking up residence as they love the holes in breeze block bricks - sited correctly it could function as a lure for snails to get them away from your produce as well as being a home for other more 'friendly' insects and animals - I'm going to make one  ;D

If I could get pallets I'd deffo make one.......the wildlife would be a bonus. Fabulous piece of art. Well done LL2 and many thanks SS for posting it. 8)

Ooh thanks for that calamity. Was going to search for the very same!  Printed off the instructions and also a list of butterfly plants whilst I was on. Gives me more ideas for my son's wild garden.
