Allotments 4 All

Just saying hello really. Ive left a question about egyptian onions but have now realised that i didn't introduce myself or even say hello.

My names sophie and I'm 19. I'm an art student and the allotment doesn't really belong to me. Its my brothers.

But its me who has to pull out all of the couch grass.

So if anyone has any general tips or advice on allotments or life, i'd be pleased to hear it.

I'm only young. I need all of the help i can get.

Great to hear that you enjoy the plot, hope your brother gives you lots of great stuff to eat after dealing with the dreaded couch!

Egyptian Walking Onions...I had to ask what they were recently. Think the swap is over now :'(

If you look at the top of this screen there is a bit which says "search" click on it and fill in the subject and all sorts of great info will be there for you. Also check the "wiki" lots of really useful stuff in there too.

have you never heard "what's yours is mine and what's mine's me own" ?  Rule No. 359 in the rule book states, she who pulls couch is entitled to claim the land!

I expect you've seen the thread on Egyptian Walking onions by now...I've sent off all my spare bulbils to peeps here except for poss 3 or 4? Not many, I know, but PM me with your address & I'll get them off to you. Pot them up now (or plant directly into a couch-free part of the lottie that you've prepared earlier :P), mark them with a stick...and wait...veggie gardening's a lot about waiting.... ;D

Hey KP is that a question or a  statement ,(a well known fact) I actually meant giving advice or sending seeds, if she gets a waft of chocolate her garden becomes your garden!!

Well! Anyway, have pre-empted you lot..have already PM'd My Friend Soph 8) and told her that you chocoholic lot will do ANYTHING for out-of-date  possibly salmonella -laden (allegedly) choc from the local factory, so she's been well warned to keep away from your unsavoury influence until she's at least 21 (stone, that is)... ;D

My first A4A seeds came from Lish strangely enough !  ;D No choclit though  :'(
