Allotments 4 All

I am in official mourning -- just been into the kitchen to find Mr T scoffing pizza and Pink Fir Apple spuds.

Beautiful, matching PFA spuds.

The beautiful, matching PFA spuds I had just lovingly washed ready for our little local allotment show next weekend (first time I've ever entered veg) and spread out on a tea towel on a rack to dry...

'I thought you'd washed them for me', he said.

and what were you doing leaving them open to attack ?  they should have had a guard round them at the very least !   8)

I suggest he accompanyies you  to your fave garden centre with c/c in his hand to make up for his indescretion.

What else are you entering in the show btw?

Yes, yes, I know I was an idiot: but he knew I was entering PFAs in the show, cause I spent over an hour the night before sorting them into groups of matching size and knobbliness, so I thought he'd realise that eight near-identical little spuds in two groups of four swaddled in a tea towel was more significant than 'Ug, Woman Make Food, Me New Man, Me Cook Food'! 

Never mind, I'm over the worst! :'( :( :-\ :)

Next job, empty a sack and a half of Foremost onto newspaper and try to match some of them, then try to tie my Golden Gourmet shallots up with raffia (must buy raffia!) so they look like they belong to someone who knows how to do these things ::)
I'll have a look at the produce and baking classes too, just for the fun of it. Got some pickled shallots in honeyed spiced cider vinegar that I'm v pleased with...

Whatever I'm entering from now, it's going into a box surrounded with barbed wire and Rottweillers: what does he think this is -- food??!  ;) ;D

PS   Guilt points sound wonderful, except he's brassic!

But yes, I'll try to take some pix but I've never posted an image so that'll be yet another learning curve ...

make him do some digging then !!!  and explain in words of less than one syllable why he's digging !  then he might be more careful before demolishing anything without permission.

food comes in polybags,  these are JEWELS to be loved cherished and tenderly cared for !  NOT for stuffing in one's gob alongside PIZZA !  pizza ffs, i mean, he could have made a roast !
