Don't know whether some of you remember that earlier this year I got my allotment.
Being disabled I've needed peoples help to get it up and running. Mick who is a gardener is going to lay the plot out for me.
During the summer all the slabs that he's had to take up and replace, he has saved for the 'lottie. Hes got loads of them now.
Now that the gardening business is slowing down he tells me the other day that he will be doing the slabbing on the 'Lottie sometime during September.
Weather being as it is I'm looking at Oct-Nov then I wont be disappointed.
I am so excited just think by back end I will be asking you what to do next, just cant wait.
Have got shed for £10 still trying to finish creosoting it, nice cooker from freecycle to mash that essential cuppa, tubs that were at knock down prices from Asda for herbs, spuds and some pretties.
Have been sent some seeds from lots of folk on this wonderfull site. Now that I know that my 'lotties definitely on its way shall start to look for loads more bargains.
If you hear of any will you let me know.

No its silly but have bought a wind chime with watering cans ext on it really will look great hanging off the shed, also a wind sock to keep the birds off !!  :P
Just think next year I will be sitting on my bench that I've yet to get and smugly looking at what I've done.
Thanks every one for listening

I went last week and took some photos to show you all
Only just had this diggie camera and its not looking good.
Have spent most of the weekend trying to put them onto my 'puter.
Think I'm going to have to get some one in to show me how to do it.
I must be really thick cos I've got the instructions as well ??? ??? ???
Hopefully my friend will help me to put them on the site soon.
Theres nothing on it really especially since the knight a couple of plots up
set light to the dry grass, really don't know how he kept the shed
from burning down. Just glad I wasn't there at the time  ::)
Cant moan as the neighbours have turned out to be very helpfull ;)
I am having a large square to put herbs in, so have been to the garden
center today and bought twelve different ones, still would like loads more.
Sorry cant I go on and you only asked me about the photos  ;D ;D ;D

Great stuff Choco, I love the planning as much as anything. :D
Smile, it confuses people.

Have you installed the software for the camera? It should have come with a CD-ROM. I just plug mine into a USB socket, switch it on, and it downloads the pics automatically.

Chocolate. Nice to hear things are looking up for you. Keep going slow but sure Choc, you will get there in the end.My garden at the moment looks like a tip. What with having (hopefully) conifers got rid of and the putting up of a section of fence to stop the pesky dog flying up to the wrought iron fence and yapping at everyone who dares to walk past on the pavement it is not looking good. Have managed to keep clear of all my "special"plants. In a few weeks it will look OK again, just got to have patience ;D ; ::)
Good luck with the slabs. Lorna.

Thanks for that Lorna, I have that problem with the dog but shes a big girl now and scares every one to death. Soon as I can afford it I will have to get a new fence and gate put up, then hopefully if she cant see them she wont bark any more.

Robert my son loaded the disc on about the photo thing. I work thro' the booklet, then all of a sudden just as the photos are to be put on, the thing says that it dosent recognise something, the thing is I dont know what. I've tried making sure the wires are in, no good. Did it all over again and the same thing happened. So really stuck now ???

Robert_Brenchley

That could be anything; it's a case of fiddling about and trying to work out what's going on. What is it exactly that it doesn't recognise?

supersprout

Can't wait for the pictures choccie, so pleased you're seeing progress and looking forward to many happy years of plotting! ;D

Chocolate

Thanks Super Sprout  ;D

Robert I'm not sure what it doesn't recognise ???
I'll have another go tonight and try and see whats
the matter with it. Only just started with 'puters  they
are like people aren't they ???

Robert_Brenchley

they're downright obstinate. Finding out exactly what it doesn't recognise is the vital first step; after that it might be easy or it might be a real problem.
