Lovely tea kaypee :P - love those early veggies! What variety broadie please?

Green Windsor.  I've had them in the pod up til now, but thought I'd leave some to grow huge to eat naked.  They were lovely and I'll definitely leave the rest on for a while longer.  Aye, there's a lot of waste, but everything gets composted right ?

I must admit to having turned one of the carrots round so it's split didn't show !   :P 

I think I've been VERY lucky with all my produce so far and I'm sure having virgin compost for the majority of the stuff has helped - no latent nasties.  I'm having a bit of trouble with my beetroot though and am going in hunt of a thread i saw recently as my scorched leaves just aren't getting any better.

One of my colleagues has ordered a mutant carrot and wasn't at all impressed with the turned up tip !  He wants it far more deformed than that !!   :o  Still, can't please all the people all the time eh ?

it all went in a stir-fry  :o (i don't choose it, i just grow it) but it was lovely, nice and crisp and crunchy and very tasty.

The carrots were a few Early Nantes 2 I'd slung in an Ikea terracotta £1 pot and they've come on far earlier than the ones in the bath.  More light to each one ?  Less fighting for space and nutrients ??  Not a clue !  There's still about 10 in there with a way to go yet but I'm encouraged by the lack of the dreaded fly !
