what are the green flowered plants by the tree? we had something similar at our previous house (but with more purply leaves I think) and I never managed to identify it.

Ooooh I do like that. Love a shady bit under a tree with speckled sunlight.

Sadly, the Birch, which we brought down as a double seedling from Cumbria 30 years ago, is on its way out. Much tears!
