Bit of a long shot this, but has anyone got any Salvia Divinorum seeds they'd like to trade/barter/dispose of? I have a passion for exotic varieties and just can't seem to find this one in seed form.

You'll probably be able to get some through a pro-drugs forum.

You learn something new every day, don't you?  I'd never even heard of this stuff till I just googled it.  ;D

:D Lol @ 'pro-drugs forum' - can you imagine it?! It's bad enough trying to follow a thread after a couple of pints of ale. Nah, this is purely for horticultural purposes; it's a beautiful plant and you just can't seem to get the seeds anywhere.

I may be wrong.......but was this not re-classified as a class 'A' drug a few months ago????

I Googled it and apparently there are no laws in the UK concerning this particular plant - in fact dried preparations of it are widely available. However, magic mushrooms were recently reclassified as an 'A' drug so maybe it was that.

But given that people are clearly selling this stuff for quite a profit I imagine that seeds are deliberately difficult to come by. Still, no matter. It was merely a wild botanical whim.

I'm actually serious about the pro-drugs forums. There are many where people extol the virtues of taking drugs and swap information etc. An American based forum called Genmay ( with 10,000 members ) has a board devoted to drugs and there's a long thread for comparing experiences of Salvia Divinorum.

I was googling yesterday evening to find details of a way I'd heard about of cutting the bottoms off glass containers using cold water and hot oil, to see if it was possible to make demijohns into cloches easily.

Found a page on a forum which gave lots of advice on various ways of cutting glass containers.  Very interesting.  It was only when I read a paragraph about making pipes, that I realised that a drug users forum was exactly what I'd found!  :o  ;D
