Hi Everyone,
Mine is at Gough Park on the Clay Hill site, Enfield North London its not been touched for quite a few years others have tried and given up but it was the only plot available so I am still attacking brambles and all sorts of grasses, twitch etc.Got to admit I am loving every minute of it telling my self what it can be like. - Chief.

Wow :o :o
It's just taken me nearly an hour and a half to get all the way through this thread - what a friendly bunch you all are.

with precious little else to do at the moment and having a bit of an apres digging day "chill", i have just spent about the last 40mins reading this thread from most recent back and after all that blether, just wanted to say how right you are Belinda.

i always enjoy popping on here just to see what's going on with who where, and i am in awe of all you people that have put in so much hard work on your lotties.  i look at my tiny plot and think how much effort that took, and then look at yours and sigh.  you all deserve medals.  i came in at close of dig tonight giggling to myself, thinking how wonderful i'm hoping it's going to be in the summer and can't wait to piccies of all yours to give me something to aspire to.

thanks peeps !

;D

DaveM Welcome to A4A. Gets very addictive. Know your part of the world reasonably well. Have Nephew (who has kennels) in Cliffe Nr Rochester also several relations in Kentish areas. Maidstone etc. I originate from Eltham but have lived in the Fens for 33 years. Still hanker for "Home". Lorna.

Lorna, I'm exiled from Sidcup (originally), we were "neighbours"  ;D

hi everyone, this looks like the place to be on a snowy morning such as this.  I have been lurking a good while and feel i know some of you pretty well, but am a bit shy so will probably only pop my head up occasionally. :-[
My half plot is in sunny bournemouth, and i have a love/panic relationship with it at the moment. the plans i have drawn are very pretty, but a jinxed combination of sick children and inclement weather have resulted in me being pretty well behind schedule. still lots of digging to do, and my windowsills are chocka.  potaoes are chitting etc etc.  i am taking the advise i found here somewhere to remember to enjoy and am trying not to panic, but still feel a bit like i am trying to jump onto a moving merry go round. The advice i have been gaining from this site is invaluable and I'd like to say thanks! and Hi  ;)

Hi Sarah. Glad you are enjoying A4A. Although I haven't got an allotment I do love my garden (better than housework!!) since being told about this site just about a year ago I have really spent many happy hours reading posts and getting loads of advice. Also made many virtual friends. Have fun
