A Lovely Day!

I got up today, had a read, a little bit of breakfast and decided to venture outside into the lovely, sunny day. It was a pleasant temperature for the odd bit of pottering about, chatting to neighbours (very sociable person  ;D ::)). As I am just getting better from a flu/virus like thing and hurt my back last weekend, i couldn't do anything too...um...strenuous. So, just a bit of tidying up and light pruning, built my sweetpea wigwam, and had a nice afternoon. Anyone else been out into their gardening or indeed been to a garden centre? I don't want this thread to soundlike me moaning and looking for self pity! I DID got to the garden centre on Saturday but couldn't get what I wanted so left feeling a bit disappointed. I made up for it though by going for a nice walk and to a over-priced farm-shop. It was quite near the house belonging to Tom Hart-d**e, the plants-hunter.

Anyway, a generally good weekend, what about you?
Cheers,

Dan (R2D2)   ;D

My two children are not that well, they've got the cold bug thing that's going around so it was a weekend spent at home. OH built me a copper framework in the conservatory for my passionfruit vine to grow along so I'm well chuffed with that. Did some sewing and that's pretty much it. Was a lovely quiet weekend and very relaxing. Wasn't the weather today fantastic, sunny and not too cold, brilliant! :)

me & OH poorly with colds too .... first w/e not been able to go to lottie :( ... managed to drag ourselves from bed AFTER midday and have pottered around the house not doing much at all - just getting up was exhausting!  Hate being ill, you forget how debilitating it is.

We've been decorating and as always what looks like a tiny job has turned into a marathon. At least the nights are getting lighter so I may not have to wait till next weekend to play with plants. ;)

Mrs Ava

Sorted all the plants in the conservatory and repotted most of them.  It looks great now, and the plants are all in lovely new pots and all tidy.  Have buds on the clivia, 5 on the strelitzia, 4 on the orchids, and masses still on the christmas cacti!  Hoping to get out into the garden tomorrow.  Yippee!

Went up an pottered on Saturday for a while, bought some more seed spuds from Charlton park.

Spent most of day sunday changing the headlamp on my car, what a ******* nightmare! Had to take the whole bumper and grill off to get at it, modern cars do my head in, still its done now and i did'nt have to pay the dealer a big fat wedge.
