Joji, rinse mine, put onto kitchen roll, then into airing cupboard. Squash are rather promiscuous though, so you may not get a true plant next year, but it is fun trying! ;D

Have just done the same with mine ;D

Had carved pumpkins for hallowe'en, saw nice plump seeds inside and thought "waste not want not" so rinsed & dried on kitchen roll then placed on kitchen windowsill.

Did the same with seeds from marrow.

Don't know how succesfully they will sow...

deliciuos snack dry roasted in a pan they didnt last five minutes out of the pan! ;D

We roast ours with a little olive oil and cajun spices! YUM

To eat..bung on an oven tray...2 sprays of fry light..in medium oven for 10-15mins...scrummy!

Just to dry..make sure they are clean clean or the kitchen roll will stick to them!!

OKay, question from me!  Do you peel them then roast them and scoff, or roast them and eat them shells and all??  I am going to grow a pumpkin that has naked seeds for eating next year, but wouldn't mind scoffing some this.

Hey Anneski, never thought of giving the rodents the pumpkin seeds!  Don't know why not, they loved the sunflower heads!

Do you use particular pumpkin varieties for the seeds, or will any old pumpkin do? Do some varieties have fatter seeds than others?

There is one called Lady Godiva with nude seeds meant for eating!  ;D

Lady Godiva? I would hazard a guess that that is a variety named from HDRA at Ryton? Or does it have some other origin? Seeing as Lady Godiva is the heroine of Coventry ...

welllllllllllllllll, I figured it was called that as the seeds were naked!  :o  I doubt they gallop away on horse back though.

No hard outer coating on the seeds!  ;D

We roast, shell on then eat!  Good roughage!! ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
And I use any old pumpkin's seeds.

Sorry I'm confused. ???  I buy pumpkin seeds to eat and they are green, although the seeds in the pumpkins I carved were white. Why is this? Do they go green when they are roasted, ripe, or are they a different variety?

I tried rinsing mine and drying them with kitchen roll but after a few days the had mould on them? :-\

any ideas?
