What a beauty!

The courgette is quite something too!!

What sort - & how tall have they grown on the wigwam?

And is it edible??

agapanthus

it's zucchino lungo bianco..supposed to reach 3'! It is delicious and yes I grew it over a structure but it very soon outgrew it!!

the_snail

One word springs to mind

:o  WOW  :o

What is it a cucumber? Its a right wopper that one is!

The_Snail
Be kind to slugs and snails!

Anne Robertson

Fantastic  ;D How many per plant do you get and are the seeds readily available?

agapanthus

sexy snail...courgette
ani....loads and loads...too many to count. I think they must be a late variety
'cos only now coming to maturation.  Got them from seeds of italy.

Yuet_Lee

I wish I can grow some of them. I thought zucchino was small like courgette .  :o :o  yuet

Hot_Potato

that is just amazing....I can hardly believe that it's a zucchini.....no wonder you're smiling Aga-p.....well done you!!

I definitely think the 'guess a caption' would be great for this one  ;)

Old?? Only I am allowed to say that.

The rest is possibly true!!

Hot_Potato

Agapanthus....when you said 'you grew it over a structure' roughly how big/high and what sort of shape structure was it.....could you grow this up and around a wigwam type of framework?

agapanthus

it was a tent frame type thing!!!  made from coppiced hazel
about 6' and 4' wide. Not really big enough...it spread over
the lottie fence and my neighbour was really
pleased with her free veggies!! It also spread in the other direction
along wires that was meant for my raspberries..(oh well next
year maybe)...to say the least it is very prolific ;D

sawfish

everyone seems to think its big, I think its quite small but maybe thats just me   ;)
