There I was walking up the dreary lane when a bloke popped out from his allotment with two bucketfulls of dahlias and crysanths.  I admired them as I passed and said they were gorgeous. I didn't stop as no one ever speaks to me, but look what happened...he stopped me and gave me a huge bunch! I'm over the moon. ;D Turns out he is moving plots and is now across the lane from me. He also has said he will give me a load of dahlia cuttings in the new year! (Just when I've been grumbling on about the blokes not talking to me if OH isn't about eh  ::))   Aaaah my faith in mankind has been restored today.  ;)

What a lovely thing to do Heldi, it must have really brightened your day.  What fabulous flowers and really nice to think he will be your neighbour.  Sometimes we forget there are still nice people in the world.   :D busy_lizzie

I was grinning from ear to ear...for hours!   ;D  Biggest and best bunch of flowers I've been given ever!

Oh I gave one that dropped off to OH and this is what he did with it...it's still here beside the pc!

No Wardy,no one I know drinks Dog (Newcastle Brown). Clint Eatswood apparently loves a bottle of it though. I haven't tried it for years...so I might have a go of the Dog for old times sake and let you know what happens...it won't be pretty! ;) :) :D
