I am so chuffed now I have finally managed to get broadband.  After months of sheer frustration from my previous ISP I have now made it :)  The speed is not great  but it is 10 times faster than dialup and instead of having to wait about 10 mins for photos to download they are there in a flash :D

I have not heard of this one before - it is Freedom to Surf.  Anyone else had any experience with them?  I only hope that things continue as well as they have begun :-\

Sorry to go on, but there have been times when I could cheerfully have thrown my puter straight out of the window but now I am like a kid with a new toy :D :D :D

does make life so much easier doesn't it - we just got it at home and it is brilliant. I would never had thought of even looking for a website like this with out it as our connection was so painfully slow!

I still remember that first day I got broadband - it had the wow factor.  Nowadays the service just gets faster and it's only when you see a 56kbs or ISDN that you really appreciate what you have got.

Or when broadband goes down for a few hours and you have to dig out the modem  ::)

??? Dunno ??? but can you not get "Telewest Broadband" ? we have had it for a couple years now, they did have their teething probs at the start but have been fab now sorted. ;D

I would seek some compensation from "Freeserve" if you are not getting what you paid for. >:(

Looks like I had a lucky escape then Wardy ::)  It was Freeserve I was having all the problems with in trying to get a broadband connection.

Eh.............scuse me but freeserve became Wanadoo  ;D ;D

Gardengirl

Same difference Jaggy - still had problems.  I am still connected to them for a month just to sort everything out and it still says my Microsoft Internet Explorer is provided by Freeserve - so what's in a name ;) :)
