I'm sorry I might seem daft but loads of people on here are! Any chance of pictures of the basic weeds that you all talk about? Tonight I've read about Japanese Knotweed. When I get my lottie in October I won't know whats weeds and whats plants.

I know the only way to learn is to ask so here goes!

aahhhh - so those pretty wild flowers I have been admiring are actual pure evil!

There are two major forms of bindweed - the one pictured is hedge bindweed.  Field bindweed is the other major one.  It has the same shaped flowers and leaves but they are smaller and the flowers have pink radial lines.

Isit just me that thinks Bindweed is quite attractive   :D

Very attractive plant in the right place.  Remember that weeds are only plants in the wrong place.

This is a very good thread that would be useful to all daft newbies like myself that cannot tell the difference between a tree and a weed. Is there any chance we could make it a permanent thing? (is it called a sticky?)

Binweed is certainly an attractive flower, problem is it spreads everywhere, grows over everything, and is very difficult to kill. I hate it!
