Ah - climbing French beans come in yellow as well as green, both flat and round cross-section

Perhaps you've got something like Goldfield?

moonbells (who grows Berggold dwarf yellow beans)

yes, moonbells, they do look a bit like that. i suppose the proof is in the tasting, so long as they taste good and i dont die, all good and well. You cant die from bad beans can you???????

BAGGY

I am growing goldfield.  They are better than green runners IMO - not at all furry - and are best left til they are creamy yellow as opposed to bright yellow.

i rummaged through the shed to see if i could find packet, it was one i'd bought off ebay, in those small clear sealable bags with paper label in, and yes, they were goldfield, had some tonight for tea and they were fantastic, sweet, silky and delicious. truly recommend this variety!!!
