Why does my garlic dry out

I seem to lose most of my garlic by drying out and withering - any advice? :-[

After it's been lifted and the skin dried. There also seem to be spores present. >:(

How long was it dried? Where? You mean the cloves are shrivelling? How big are the bulbs?

Spores? Did the bulbs get wet? Have you 'peeled' them to leave a clean white under-skin?
