Thought it was time I showed you a recent picture of Tiger.  Does he look hungry to you?   ;)

Gardengirl

WOW he's a big boy Georgie ;D  What are you feeding him on :D ;) :)
Happy gardening all...........Pat

Georgie

LOL!  He was 5.5Kg when he adopted us and starving, bless him. The vet said he was all muscle!  I dread to think how much he weighs now but he's not fat, just chunky.  What do I feed him on?  Well, apart from cat food he's partial to chicken, tuna, ham and any other human food he can get his paws on.  Just like most cats I reckon.   ;D

Merlins Mum

He looks well and trully under norished to me.  Think he needs to come and stay with MM for a while. ;D
Oh Georgie I just want to pick him up and hug him, but as I can't reach from here, please can you do the honours.
MM and a big X for Tiger

Georgie

ROFL, MM.   ;D

Pick him up?  Wiv my back??  LOL  Joking aside, he's not yet at the picking up stage but he does jump on the bed now and then, lean in (very heavily) and purr loudly which is progress.  He still doesn't purr at any other time though but we're working on it.   :)

G xx

PS  Are you fed up with Merlin yet? ;)
'The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.'

Merlins Mum

'fraid not  Georgie.  And I might find Tiger a little strange after Merlin as he VERY loving.  From the moment we had him and he wasn't much more than a year, he just craves love but on his terms of course.  Still think your boy is wonderful though.
So blow him a kiss from MM  ;D

Georgie

Oh well, can't blame a gal for trying. ;)

I have two other cats who are both very loving but we had them from 8 weeks old, 17 years ago!  Poor Tiger, on the otherhand, had clearly been ill-treated in his short life (he was about 2 when he adopted us)  so it's hardly surprising he's still wary.  He has decided that he's my guard cat now, btw.  If I'm in any room he follows me then flops in the doorwell.  And if he senses I'm about to go out, he flops on the door mat, daring me to open the front door.  He's such a character, and so beautiful, I can't imagine why anyone would wish to harm him.  Still, he's landed a loving home now, that's the main thing I think.   :)

Merlins Mum

Ah bless him.   It is hard to believe how people can hurt animals but I know he's well and truly landed on his paws with you.

Gardengirl

My girls, eyeballing one another over a bowl of water.  I think Poppy is saying to Penny 'you go and find your own water' ;D

Georgie

Awww, two more beautiful puddies who are clearly underfed!   ;)

Merlins Mum

That's a lovely pic Gardengirl.  As Georgie said more underfed puddies.  ;D
I seem to remember you said they were more senior ladies, well they don't look it.  And I'm glad it's not just Merlin who is allowed to sit on the worktop, ahem  ;)

How about some more pics of your other two Georgie.

Gardengirl

I'm afraid the worktop is the only place they are able to eat & drink MM as they wouldn't get a look in when my two hounds are about ;D  Needless to say we get through an awful lot of Dettox spray :o

Heldi

Aw it's been nice to catch up with the puddie tats. Georgie I love Tiger,he is such a handsome puss. Gardengirl,Penny and Poppy look so cuddley. Have they been together forever? MM I want some more pics of Merlin pleeeease!

I would really like another cat. Spook was holding up the traffic today, sitting in the middle of the road. I didn't see it ,my brother told me after he went out to his car. My heart leapt into my mouth but I think most people around here know he is deaf. I wonder if I should do a leaflet drop to be sure? Its awkward as I've heard so many of so many anti cat people around here too.

I wanted another cat when we got Spook...a hearing companion...I was over ruled ...wished I'd made more of a fuss about it now. Spook has a very scrawny scruffy friend puss who comes to see him.I don't know if he/she is owned by anyone.Unfortunately I  couldn't take it in as Cass the dog is understanding of kittens but not of fully grown cats...apart from Spook ofcourse!

Georgie

Oh Heldi, I love the idea of Spook holding up the traffic!  Cats rule, eh?   :)

Okay, here are some pics of my other two cats, Fletcher and Shelley, who are 17 now although these were taken a couple of years ago.  The first is a fairly typical pose and the other two show them 'helping' in the garden.   ;)

Heldi

Aw Shelley and Fletcher are lovely. I grew up with a black and white cat called Felicity. Shelley reminds me of her. Fletcher would look nice with Spook!  I love black cats. We lost one last year. :(  Jasper. He was OH's cat but he lived with OH's mum. Jasper upped and left one day and never came back. He was very old and had been poorly for a while. He was lovely with the longest claws and the biggest teeth I've ever seen on a moggy  :o

Georgie

Thanks Heldi but sorry to hear about Jasper.   :(

Hey, look who I spotted in my garden again today.  (Yes, I know it's not a cat!  ;))

Gardengirl

Lovely photos of Shelley & Fletcher - cats are funny aren't they, my Penny loves to follow me around the garden and Poppy can often be found lounging on one of my pots ;D

You remember well MM - they are 13 years old now and yes Heldi, they have always been together.  Here is a photo of them when we first got them snuggled up together in the bed.  Apologies for the quality of the photo but it was pre-digi camera.

Merlins Mum

Oh bless them Gardengirl, irresistible little darlings.  :)

Pink suits them Georgie, and very typical pose for most cats, after all it's what they do best  ;)
I've got a frog in the greenhouse.  I worry about it as it gets so hot in there some days (it's just a little 6x6) but it seems happy enough.  Told it off yesterday for not eating a huge slug I found in the process of eating a tomato :o

Heldi I'm sorry about Jasper, always sad when you lose a puddie  :'(

Merlins Mum

Do any of you know of a really good and effective way to discourage a cat.  The reason I ask is  Merlin is frequently beaten up by one particular cat.  He limps back home and luckily so far it has only meant one trip to the vet.  I don't want to take him everytime if I can help it as they usually give anti-biotics and I think if too many are given then after time they just don't work very well.  He feels a bit under the weather for a day or so then he's back to his old self.
Yesterday morning the cat had a go in our back garden and Toby-dog and I rushed to the rescue, but even so he had a puncture in his leg and then in the evening it happened again but in a neighbours front garden.
Normally cats make a lot of noise before actually fighting or so I thought.  Not this cat, he's straight in there.
So Merlin says help all you puddie cat lovers
