Allotments 4 All

I thought that I had read somewhere that F1 toms did not need sideshooting, but I checked out a few packets this weekend, and all said "take out sideshoots"
Am I getting things mixed up, and ARE there varieties that I don't need to sideshoot?

It's the cordons you take the shoots off - not the bush. F1 is immaterial in this case.

Sometimes on the packet, it doesn't say cordon, it says indeterminate, and for bush it says determinate.
