Phew! thanks everyone! Georgie its Cleome spinosa, common name spider plant or American spider plant, half-hardy annual,is scented.  :) Only drawback is they have thorns on the stems, which need picking off if you want them for cutting. I havn't felt the desire to cut them yet, i"m so pleased with them where they are!  :)
