I can offer blackcurrant cuttings when I prune mine in the autumn if its any help. Maybe some strawberry runners too.

Mrs Ava

Jostaberry cuttings?  I am planning to dig up one and bin it, it is to big and I don't need it, so could do you loads of cuttings if you want???

adam04

Jenny, i have been promised blackcurrant bushes, if they arrive i shall see. if not iu will contact you. so thanks. no neeed for strawberries though, am stocking up right this minute on them :D but thanks anyway.

What about raspberries? Gooseberries?

Yes, they tend to spread after a while. It would be best to wait until the dormant period, say November/December before trying to move them, but if you are interested send me a pm and I'll dig some up then and send to you. They will fruit the following year OK because they are autumn fruiting types, and the new growth comes in spring and they fruit on that growth.

Gooseberry runners any good?
Make the most of today, because you'll never have it back again.

If there's anything going spare that could be planted around children soft fruit wise I would be very grateful. Let me know what you'd want as a swap and will see what I have.

Hi EJ,
would love some jostaberry cuttings/ runners if you still have any going?
Hope you haven't dug it up and thrown it away, am I too late?

:o

Mrs Ava

Alas you are tooo late! The mumma plant has gone. I do have a pot full of cuttings, but mostly they are spoken for. If there are left overs when I come to sort them, I shall post and let you know.

I also have Autumn raspberries Adam for my bed needs some major thinning this autumn.  Would be happy to post you some mature roots when I do so if you pass on your address.

Worth noting though that because they are autumn fruiting (in reality first crop around June) you donlt lose so many to the birds.  Mine are outside and I share with the birds but still get more than enough.
