I have one rabbit, and on emptying his hutch I have at least half a bag full of poo, newspaper and sawdust. I'd rather use this in the garden if I could than fill the landfill with it.

If I mixed this in with my grass cuttings, would it work?

It should be fine, add a bit of moisture too if you can as rabbit poo is a bit dry.

It should compost fine in 6 to 12 months.

All our guinea pig and hamster cages get cleaned out into the compost heaps.  Some nitrogen is provided by the urines and the manure but it does need some green stuff to get it going.  It never gets hot enough though to prevent an outcrop of sunflowers, grasses etc from the resulting compost.

All my outdoor tommies are growing on rabbit poo,and they grow fine havenot fertilised since i put the poo in and that was early spring.

rabbit poo can also be applied direct around the base of plants, as unlike chicken or other faryard manure, it will NOT burn the plants. Its fantastic around roses and strawberries.
