Congratulations. Mine only got planted out last week, but I live in hope.

Mrs Ava

Well done Roy!!  My sis has grown cuces for the first time ever this year in her new greenhouse, and she couldn't believe how sweet and flavoursome a home grown, freshly cut cuce could be!

Well done RoyB.

I have had an outdoor cue, BUT........... I find they give me an after taste and make my mouth go all tingly. As I have allergies to some hairy fruit, Kiwi worst and strawberries being the 2nd worst. This is the same feeling so I think i am not going to be able to eat them. Oh B****R it and I have planted 5.

Oh well neighbours will love me as there are bound to be loads.
Supernan!!

Roy   I planted my spuds in manure but did make sure to give them a good wash before eating.  I cut my first cue the other day and was surprised what a good size it was.  A few days before it was miniscule so it just how quick they develop.  Mine was an outdoor cue, Burpless Tasty Green, ta for the seed someone (sorry, I forgot who gave it to me)  :)
I came, I saw, I composted

And Hurrah Roy for your homegrown cu  ;D
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

Moggle   It was you!  :)   Ta very much.  Yes it was very crunchy and delish  :)  Here it is for you to see  ;D  It's the only one I have ever grown and am ridiculously proud of it  ;D ;D

Very nice Wardy.

I have 10 BTG plants, the fruits are just forming now.

Do you think I'll have enough fruit for a family of 4?   ;)  :-[
I hoe, I hoe, then off to work I go.

Same here Wardy, it's exciting isn't it? ;D My Cucumber variety is called 'telegraph' the flesh is delicious but has to be skinned as it is quite tough, :( a bit like eating black pudding with the skin on. :-\ ;D

Roy   The skin on my BTG cue was prickly but I couldn't be bothered to peel it.  When it was cubed and on my salad it was fine  :)  I think the outdoor types are supposed to be toughies  :)

ROTH   I'm sure 10 plants will be suffish.  I'm not sure how many fruits per plant to expect though.  I have four plants but still only the one cue but I have spied another titchy one  :)
