Oh, Dan - not just you!!

Couldn't connect anywhere till that one got through. Been trying since 5.30!!

All seems OK now.

PS Spoke too soon - it's 'off' every other moment. Very trying.

Had about 3 min 'on' time then & decided to tell you.

But couldn't reconnect!! Patience?

I have had no trouble with time loss (Not sure what that means?) so would assume you may be having problems with your service provider.

My only criticism of the A4A site is that it is running a little under par. :(

I meant that I couldn't get onto the net for more than a few mins at a time, all day. Never had such a hassle.

It kept on telling me that my server was either asleep or gone to lunch!! Surely other people use the same server - whichever that might be??

:( Sounds like you may have picked up a virus :o can you run a scan and check?

Edited to say...Do you run your broadband on a completely separate phone connection or does it use your existing line? If it's the latter I'd check your phone bill incase it has been hacked.

Thanks for the warning, Roy - did a scan yesterday, & have just checked the bill, which seems OK.

No interruptions today.

Tim in the past 2 weeks I have suddenly found myself without the internet. Sometimes 10 mins, sometimes 30 mins plus! Winged to my provider, (wannadoo) and they said not us that has been off. Ran virus checkers etc. Nothing, and again yesterday it dissapeared for 10 mins >:(  Very frustrating!

Tiscali - 2 afternoons with no service - on top of that first day lost.

It's the Local Area Connection that's failing - as often as it's not. And that's not the server's fault??

How odd Tim i hadnt heard from a friend in a day or two and found that he too couldnt get on the net.Server Tiscali.He too has been told that its his  phone connecting line thats at fault and not Tiscali.

I too am on tiscalli and its doing my head in ive done defrag disc clean up etc  and sometimes getting on to a thread takes ages  :(
