badgers

going along the A46 yesterday(a main road in lincolnshire)yet again i sawa badger,dead ,run over at exactly the same place as the other 2 i saw......
ruined my sunday i can tell you-i love badgers. :(
anyway-how would i go about getting a badger pass put in under the road-is it a possiblity?-i know on the new section of this road furthur down on the way to newark,they did this.but the section that needs it is nearer the city..the dead badgers have all been in exactly the same place...

They follow traditional paths, which go back generations at least if not centuries. One must cross the road just there.

oh kitty it is so sad, upsets me every time. :'(   I have only ever seen one live badger on the road.  he trotted across in front of me. :)
you could contact the local council and/or which ever council looks after road in the area.  trouble is the badgers ancestors were living there long before the road I expect.

I am the same, have only ever seen a living breathing badger in the dead of night as we were driving along and it decided to cross the road right about THEN!  Thanks to my darling Ava's tip top driving, we didn't hit him, but boy was it close!  There does seem to be a lot of road kill about at the moment.  Very very sad.
