We went to Hodnet Hall Gardens this weekend - it's a glorious place so here's some piccies:

Plocket, those are lovely photos. Thanks for sharing them with us. I will have to try and manufacture an excuse to visit 'up north' so I can go and visit!!

They are beautiful photos Plocket.  I went up north last year.  Went to Alnwick Gardens and Cragside but didn't have time for any others.  Will have to get back this year!

Ooooh Foxyglove Alnwick has been on my mental visiting list for a long time. I don't know Cragside though - any chance of you posting some piccies?

Alnwick Garden is not yet finished Plocket but you can see how wonderful it is going to be.  What a woman!  Doing all that designing.  Helps to have a very rich OH though.  The rose garden is to die for and smells lovely.  I have got photos but haven't got round to attempting to post any yet.  Will do when I have a quiet moment.  Whilst I have your attention - do you have a Princess Diana clematis?    Mine has grown very well and has lovely nodding heads nearly all summer.

Hi Foxyglove! I'll have to look Alnwick up then! As for Princess Diana, funnily enough it's on my mental list but as we are going to re-do part of the garden we are going to do that before I start getting more clems! It's got gorgeous flowers hasn't it?
