Dont worry about the lamb, they will be fine in light snow. Windy wet conditions and wet under foot are what they do not like. Hypothermia can set in then.

Snow actually is not a huge problem, we have lambed ewes in a blizzard and they are far better off than if it was raining/damp.

(Farmers son and I must have delivered literally 1,000's of lambs over the years.)

Oh thanks for that reassurance Jerry ! It distresses me to think they may be suffering from the cold weather -

Lovely pictures.  We got snow on the Cheviots as well and I believe it was lying on top of Soutra Hill this morning.

As for the lambs, well....... I am sure a few perished yesterday with the torrential rain and cold.  I know they get on OK with snow, but not getting so wet.  I will be hearing in the next few days how many were lost as a result of Fridays downpour.

Thank you for showing them Magpie. I'm sure nobody believed me on other boards when I said it was snowing here in Oldham  :) Had to lug everything back into the greenhouse and cover my tenders!
Is it wrong to fancy Lucius Malfoy?
