wivvles

I've been waiting eagerly for kitty to have her turn - but can't wait anymore (I'm an impatient sort I'm afraid!!) Sorry!

Here's another one with a gardening connection:

"There's something about her hand holding mine
It's a feeling that's fine
And I just gotta say...
She's really got a magical spell
And it's working so well
That I can't get away"

something like;

I'm a lucky fella
And I just got to tell her
that I love her endlessly...

Love grows where my Rosemary goes?

Will be singing it all day now!  It is often in my head.  Must be the late sixties, is it by the Loving Spoonful?  I am really not sure, this is from somewhere very deep and dusty in my brain!  Please excuse me if I am wrong, rushing to get ready for school and shouldn't be here at all!

My OH was a DJ (before I made him grow up and get a proper job!!)  His musical knowledge is awesome - you so want him on a quiz team!!

Sadly knows sod all about gardening!!

Tulipa

Thank you!  It was really puzzling me.  My son got cross because I sang it on the way to school.  It took his mind off his SATs anyway!  My first ever record was an EP with this on so I should have known it was 1970 because that's when I had my first record player.  Too long ago.  I've probably still got it in the loft somewhere.

Your turn Ceri...

wardy

I still have my copy  ;D
I came, I saw, I composted

Ceri

It's a bit old but it's mine, I mend it in my spare time
Just last week I changed the oil, the rocker valves and the coil
Just last week I changed the oil
Last week it went round the clock, I also had a little knock
I dented somebody's fender, he learnt not to park on a bender, ha ha ha

Petemason your go

Perhaps we should change this. It's a bit easy if you google the lyrics. How about Christian names of bands ie: John , Paul, George and Ringo?
Anyway, here's my contribution

These people round here wear beaten down eyes
Sunk in smoke dried faces
They're so resigned to what their fate is
But not us, no not us
We are far too young and clever

I won't be at the Bailgate sadly - I've got frost damaged spuds to earth up. I did however think that my OH might be curious as I set off for the Methodist Church on Sat morning:-
OH: Are you going out dear?
PM: Yes, I'm off to the Methodist Church on Bailgate.
OH: Why are you wearing a carnation?
PM: So that I'll be recognised.
OH: By who?
PM: A woman on a messageboard on the internet!!

No, didn't get the spuds earthed up as we nipped to Waddington Nurseries to get some cucumber plants and came away having spent, well, loads and loads. In order to make us feel better about spending so much money we've decided to flog some stuff at Harby car boot tomorrow to claw back some funds.
Hope the Methodist Hall was worth a visit. Redclanger didn't have any 'pets' with him did he? ;D
