Not at their best, but I finally remembered to take the camera down over easter.

The vegetable patch

My extension -thankfully no longer a collection of expensive sticks as there are buds on the trees.

I'll try again when there's a bit more growing.

That's pukka membrane that is, covering a bed that had Grazing Rye in it over winter. I'll probably plant sweetcorn and artichokes through it later.

NTS -sow sweetcorn soon, I've enough loo roll inners for a cxouple of acres  ;D

Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.

Stuff's growing :)

Various garlics

Early spuds, beets and peas -with last years salsify. Almost too pretty to pull out, but there's some mange-tout wanting that space.

Oh, and the first Cucumber (Telegraph Improved) of the year, tastes GRRRRRRRREAT!

Jeremy

tim

That garlic's looking really good?

derbex

Thanks Tim, seems to be doing well, four different varieties from http://www.garlicworld.co.uk/ -he wanted to farm out some of his stock so that he didn't lose it all if he got hit by disease. I'd tell you which, but the labels are with the plants :)

I'm not sure if it's co-incidence but the tallest are at the front and the smallest at the back -either I accidently planted the varieties that way, or it's the soil, sunshine ???

Really nice to see your allotment. Lots of stuff going on there.

;D It's lovely to see how quickly allotments progress, especially for newbies like me, it gives me inspiration ;D
