Hello, was reading a thread about an old saying red sky at night sheperds delight red sky in morning sheperds warning.Do folks know any others thats relevant to gardening and weather.

I like your first one merry. I can just remember this guy who used to come on sometimes after the local weather and make weather predictions down to nature. One that sticks in my head was it was going to be a cold winter because he'd got doormice in his shed. I think his name was Froggat

From my grandfather's garden one could sometimes see the mumbles pier (Swansea bay).

He would always say "If you can see the pier, its going to rain;  If you can't, then it is raining"  - He was always right!
