I needed some new trellis for a new clem today, and just couldn't afford anything at the garden centre. I remembered the article in May's GW magazine and have followed their example, and here's my trellis (I haven't drilled and knotted mine though, I just used some knot I remember from being a Girl Guide!):

The sticks cost me £2.29 and I already had the twine (natural jute). It didn't take long to make either, and it's hung on the wall using two screw hooks which I drilled holes for, bunged rawl plugs in and then screwed in the hooks.

All ready for "Pointy" to take up residence!

Oh no Jesseveve - it wasn't my idea - I saw it in Gardeners' World magazine - the May issue. I can't wait to see the clem up it though. But that will have to wait until the weekend.

It wasn't my idea! It was in Gardeners World magazine (May).

LP's garden is doing well thanks for asking - except that she does have a tendancy to dig things up to see how they are doing! The petunias are still indoor seedlings which she nearly drowns on a daily basis, but they are hanging on! The sunflowers and nasties will wait until the weather is a little better!
