Off tomorrow to B+Q to buy some more compost and vermiculite.  Then spend the afternoon pricking out some summer cabbages and other bits and pieces that need sorting out.   Some ironing and then chill out in front of the t.v.  Might head up to Liverpool on Sunday to see my Mum.  ;D .. Well it is my weekend off, so no 'proper' work ;)
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

I have to get back down to work as I'm self employed and don't do sick!  I have some typing to do this weekend (after ignoring it all day) for a Psychologist which will be dead hard cos of the spellings and references I will have to look up.  I'm trying to run my B & B the best I can (what wi my back?) and I have more guests tomorrow.  Groan.  Feel a bit better this afternoon though.  So I won't be relaxing just working worse luck  :(  I got my allotment so I could de-stress and I don't get the flipping time to get on it and when I do I go and hurt my back.  It makes my blood boil  >:(  >:(  >:(

Not really  ;D  ;D  ;D
I came, I saw, I composted

Derek

I reckon I will stay at home today and browse a few magazines and books... unless the Governor has found her latest list  ;)

The ground on the site is extremely wet at the moment so any work to be done is in the greenhouse ..most of that is already done and ready to go.

I have broad beans, carrots and a few other bits and pieces already set.

I sympathise with Wardy...I have problems with my legs and am really struggling at the moment...appointment with a consultant in a couple of weeks time to sort out a problem with a knee that I had replaced three years ago. This has affected my hip and I guess a new one of those is on the cards.

Also self employed I know what you mean about 'don't do sick'...keep taking the tablets  ;)  ;D

Went to B&Q for a ball of string and came away with an evergreen fern, a pack of shallots and another one of 50 Dutch iris bulbs. Sun is forecast for tomorrow and all the snow has now gone, so hope to get out and plant the bulbs as they're already sprouting - they're going in a corner of the veg plot for cut flowers in the summer. Might start to clear a large alpine trough that's due for an overhaul this year.

The sun is out here and it is ............warm. :o

Much too nice to go visiting. So headed to the lotty (First trip since before Christmas  :- :-[)  Got two beds cleared and one dug over..Gosh I feel better now.  ;D  Still digging out an old compost heap and spreading it around the garden.  Have planted a silver birch along the side of the house and lightly watered all my bits and pieces in the greenhouse.
The daffs look fabulous in the sunshine.........
Take time to stop and smell the flowers.

After an absolutely awful day (personally) yesterday and only 3 hours of sleep at my in-laws house (we have to stay there while we sort out accomodation problems), I escaped the chaos to get to the lottie for an hour or so and started digging my long-awaited 4th bed. About 10 flakes of snow fell on me while digging  :). Also visited a garden centre local to the in-laws and bought my mother-in-law a sage plant.  :)

I hope next weekend is an improvement  :-X
Lottie-less until I can afford a house with it's own garden.
