My last two chickens stolen today.

Old bird

I am so angry and sad.  My very beautiful old ex battery chicken that I moved from my allotment to home due to theft of other chickens has been stolen today from my garden at home.  She was just so beautiful and tame and was a very happy loved pet.

We had a delivery of those fake scam "charity envelopes" today and I think that these people may have seen the chooks through the greenhouse glass and decided to have them.  I had two but only one "special one"

It wasn't a fox as there is no sign of feathers or flapping or disturbance.  The girls were so tame and happy what sort of b***ard does this.  I hope for my girls' sake that they are killed quickly.

I think I may call the police as these "people" are collecting their bags on Thursday but I don't expect a happy outcome.

Thats it now - I will no longer keep chickens at home or at the lotty.

Am so sorry to hear that:( your poor girls. I just hope your girls are ok or haven't suffered.

Old bird

That's the problem Phil - they will be suffering if they are still alive.  They will be in a van somewhere these "people" are not gentle and kind people they are going to probably eat my beautiful girls so the shorter their life now the better.

O B :'(

So sad to hear that. I can understand your anger. We have 6 & 4 only lay a few eggs between Feb & August but we would both be very upset as we see them as a family unit. It's unbelievable what some people will stoop to.

Oh so sorry Old Bird, that is so horrible.
Loosing them to fox is bad enough but to humans is worse :(

What is it with people who can't leave other peoples property alone especially live stock, if it's not allotments being broken in to it is now Poultry being taken, >:(

So sorry about your pet bird you did a wonderfull thing to save it in the begining . We had a lot of trouble around here with the swans which we all know are protected but it did not stop people from eating them and the law did nothing about that >:(

I wonder if that is true or just an urban myth?Similar stories here.

Swans are property of the crown and i would be hard to be leave the police would do nothing   ??? ??? ???

They used to claim that people round here raided birds' nests for food. This sounds suspiciously like a variant on the same theme.

GrannieAnnie

Very sorry for your loss and the anger you must feel. Definitely disappointing when people act badly.
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

Oh No. So sorry to hear that you and your girls have been exposed to such scum.
I had a worried night this week when a neighbours staffie broke in and chased the girls. Two didnt come home until the next day. Its a small monority of people who are vile but they have such a massive impact.
Sorry you have had such a bad thing happen.
