My OH is happy as Larry today. We have had nothing but trouble since we changed to BT Broadband a tear ago but thought we were locked in for the 18 months we signed up for. Today however he got an email saying they are putting their prices up and having checked the T&C's he knew this meant we could leave as they had changed the contract.
If anyone else wants out, you need to do it within 10 days of being notified of the increase.
We are now going with Plusnet, which although it's owned by BT is a separate company, is cheaper and has a much better record, so fingers crossed.

Thats really good news.
I avoided bt becuase of the two year shackles on their contracts I bet lots of folks will be moving to cheaper broadband .

We are with plusnet and seems good to us. :)

We were with PlusNet and were very happy with their service.  Shame they don't serve our current house!

For the record, we're now with O2, and are equally happy :)

Daughter-in-law with plusnet (BT line of course)
She'd been having problems with drop-out. It's taken a while - as they tested lots of other things first-but they came with two vans and a cherry-picker yesterday and re-wired from the pole to her house.
She was preety impressed :D (I'd have asked for a ride ;D)

My neighbour is with BT and has one of their fancy hubs ,but he can be in the middle of something and his internet connection goes, the little light goes off.It could be just a moment or several minutes. He seems prepared to live with and thinks it's the norm but I'm with Talk Talk and ('hope I'm not tempting fate  :o) never have that problem.

We were with Bulldog- who then were bought up buy talk talk and it was useless, always dropping out :(
Seems to vary in different areas even with the same supplier.

I have had not particular problems with broadband from BT.  However I orginally ordered and paid for the broadband.  I was incensed that that they put it into my husbands name and then incorporated our quarterly phonebill into the monthly internet.  But still working out cheaper than we paid per quarter for just the phone.

Moved to BT from SKY 3 months ago.

No complaints whatsoever service etc is 100 times better, moving away from SKY is akin to winning the lottery - that said, despite not having had sky for 3 months they have started sending us monthly bills again so still spend 2 hours a month on the phone to SKY  :'(
Best laid plans and all that

Been with every one, now with virgin, no bad complaints  ;D

I thought Virgin was great until I decided to move!  :o :o Then they were a nightmare. Now with o2 who seem OK + I get a discount cos my mobile's with them too.

Tbh I'd like to see free broadband supplied nationally but no doubt impossible in the present financial climate.

Although concidered by many to the Evil Empire i have put all my eggs into the Sky basket.  So far I have had no issues at all and would be happy to recommend them IF you already have a TV package.
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!
