I am still picking red tomatoes and now don't know what to do with them. Have dried a few and they are currently sitting in olive oil and I have a load of chutney.  I like the idea of the ketchup but no one in the family uses it very much. Any other ideas?

I'm roasting mine in oven with few herbs, garlic and onion..once cooked I put it through sieve. That smooth sauce/puree I freeze and it can be use as base for any tomato based foods..or made into ketchup later on. I made one batch of tomato soup..by mixing bit of home made puree blended with tin of chopped tomatoes..it was just right and little bit of cream to make it spot on..
Winter soup and pasta sauces are going to be extra yummy this year.. ;D

Well as I lost all mine to blight you could send them my way ;)

I usually make a lot of tomato sauce for pasta and freeze them in single portions - it is an easy supper when I am late home from work.

I do what Goodlife does - the roasting adds a little depth to the flavour I think and it is really easy.
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!

good thing with roasting is that you can chuck any other spare veg to go with it..and it makes the sauce even tastier.. ;D
Well don't chuck in just 'any'..within reason of course.. ;)

We make the pasta sauce with peppers, garlic, courgettes and a bit of chilli added, blitz and boil down for pizza topping  and minestrone soup, too :)

Last of the tomatoes?  Mine have only just started to ripen up in any useful quantities.
