Rocket from a similar source ... But with special weapons underneath  and on the top  ;)

You cheated last year,  :o  right that's the windmill confiscated, come back at the end of the season and you can have it back, it's going in the naughty draw with Tones catapult and Borlotti's racket.   ;D ;D ;D    ;)

corn on the cobblers to you then mate  ;D my measley contribution then is going to ONE spud, in the ground warmed by the sun (none of this fancy soil warming stuff) and my spud of choice will be Arran Pilot which I am sure will do better than your Rockets to the moon  :P so let battle commence, handbags at dawn duel  ;D

Kev how about we have 2 competitions?

Your original plant early and harvest by the 5th of June and then the one that we talk about on the other forum where we try and grow the heaviest crop possible from one seed potato? I am going to use a builders half tonne bag for that competition ;D

That would give you one winner in June and then another winner in lets say end of August.

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Well, I'm growing Pentland Javelin as my first earlies this year. They're a bit of a late developer, but count me in anyway.
Let's see what we can all do.

Digeroo

Did we really plant them as early as 19th February last year.   I remember it got very cold just after I planted them.

I have not put mine to chit yet - better get on with it.  But the bed is dug over and the bottle cloches all ready.  I also put a plastic milk bottle full of water between each plant.

Soil reasonably warm at the moment but looks like we may have a couple of cold nights next weeks so I will have to ensure it stays warm.

I hope you will be back to sound the starting gun.

gazzaroo

ill have a go to...but its so cold in northumberland
