In yesterday's Guardian, Lia Leendertz was suggesting sowing more courgettes now to take over after the glut. What do you reckon? Would they get a long enough growing season? And would you ever need that many courgettes?

;D..I don't think I would need anymore...by the time these ones are finished cropping..I've had enough anyway.. ::)..but yes it is still possible to sow more..there is plenty of time.. ::)

Yes and I sow a late lot of runner beans to take over once the early ones have all that nasty sooty stuff all over the leaves.  Sometimes the courgettes die off and it is nice to have a later set of plants.

Ok, will give it a go- if we can't face eating any more I can always give them away.

..or you can pickle them..just like you would do gherkins..
..so you can carry on eating them all through the winter.. ::)

But where will I put them?  ???  ;D

I love courgettes! Wish I had more room. Just how much lawn does a 3-year-old need?  ;) ;D
gone to pot :D

I'm trying to sow a couple more, but I think its too hot in my polytunnel and the seeds have been cooked!

I've just sown another courgette - be interesting to see how well it does. Nothing to loose but a seed or 2 and a bit of compost !

Not too late to sow-but,like others, I get fed up with them after a while

If nothing else it will extend the courgette surprise season.....
