Slow sweet peas

I planted out my sweet peas nearly three weeks ago and they have hardly grown at all. I have fed and watered them but most of them are no more tha 3 or 4 inches tall. I was so pleased last year to finally have success with sweet peas (thanks for the seed, Shirlton!) but their offspring are a shadow of the parents this year! Any tips to rejuvenate them?

mine are the same Caroline   :-\  I wonder if that cold snap has halted them ?

This winter was so bad that for the first time ours spent most of it in the GH. This of course made them grow softer.They went out later than usual due to having to harden off. They seemed to take longer to get used to their planting positions but now are just starting to flower. Sown in October of course

Glad I'm not the only one. My autumn-sown ones failed (mice or slugs I think) so had to re-sow in spring. Fingers crossed the rain and sun will help them along.

Mine are at last getting some height (some are seeds kindly sent by Shirlton). I am  quite jealous as my niece in Kent told me hers are in flower.

Despite the cold winter those I left to seed(by mistake) are now in flower.

The ones sown are just starting to get going after having sulked for ages-and my Morning Glory are showing signs of wanting to move as well

they piddle around for ages but suddenly, the haulms start to thicken and stiffen and they romp. Don't worry, when everyone elses have got mildew, yours will be great.

Me too, planted out 3 weeks ago and still only 5 inches tall, they look healthy though.

Mine are slow too! Like shirls mine were in the greenhouse for too long.  :-[ They are picking up a bit this week though  ;D

Mine started of slow but over the last couple of weeks have grown to about 3' and have loads of flowers.

phew i thought i was doing something really wrong with them, mine are tiny and taken weeks to get to the few inches they are. Feeling better knowing im not the only one having issues, not being funny or anything, i just thought i was useless, haha.

My perennial sweet peas, on the other hand, are rampant as ever and loking glorious at the moment. :D
