Loved that Tony.

Looks like you have a good bunch of growers around you.

Notice the club likes it single bloom class  ;) personally I liked to win the 5 in a vase class.

I always felt I had achieved something by getting five, which was not always easy.

Sods law said you can get four 'good uns' for a five class or two for the three class getting that extra one was the trick!

Another reason I liked the 'fives' was;  this allowed me to change my mind at the show and divide them to suit a three or single bloom class if needs be!

it was a great show, we have some great growers in the society, but not enough young ones getting involved. :(

We had our local show last Saturday, almost 300 vases staged with some really good quality flowers. Amongst that competition I was pleased with 8 1st prize cards 7  2nds and 5 3rds and one trophy. We do not give prize money as we feel it invites the wrong exhibitor. We get exhibitors from a 40 mile area. It has been such a hard season to get the flowers out. I seem to be unable to put slide show as I used to be able to but I think this link should work.I have added to pictures of vases I did at previous shows that include larger numbers of blooms in vases

Yes Tony Ann's Blush is one I raised from seed together with Ann's Cream and Ann's White. I hope to do a vase of  5 Ann's White at Wincheap on Thursday

Trouble is the people we normally go with are stranded in Egypt due to the volcano problem.
