Tone just called to say that he is having an epidural to have his hip done. He was just waiting to be taken down. Whenever I get cross with him in future I hope that I can remember how I feel today without him being around.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

The waiting is the horrible bit.

Sending a hug  :)

Hyacinth

Really really pleased that he's 1st on the list for today, Shirl, and no hanging around - gotta be good.

Now get yerself busy with all those saved-up jobs you've got and the time'll pass in a Flash (remember that? Do they still do it?)

Hugs, Lish X

My daughter phoned at 12 and Tony had just come out of the theatre and was in the recovery room. She phoned again at 3pm and he was still there. he was on a trolley until 6pm when he finally got a bed. he didn't complain but my daughter who is a nurse was aware of the danger of being left on a trolley for 6 hours after the op. He didn't have any sedation at all apart from the epidural so he could hear everything.I couldn't do that but he said that he would reccomend it. Fortunately his spirits were high when we saw him last night in spite of his ordeal but my daughter Sally is a nurse and is going to have a word in the right ear today and perhaps it might save some other poor soul from going through the same.
