Until yesterday, when I opened a new tab, previous websites I'd visited were displayed there.  Yesterday I un-installed a google toolbar and now the new tabs are blank.  I've re-installed the google toolbar in case that was the problem but no luck.

I'm using IE 7.

How can I get it back to show the previous websites?

Can't really help except to say mine just appeared without me doing anything - perhaps we have to use that page a lot before it puts itself there, if you know what I mean.

Mine updates itself and all sorts of things disappear.  I have an nice little button for A4A and it keeps disappearing.

I use Firefox, and therefore have no problems  :) :) :) :) :)

Thanks for all the replies.

Poppy Mole, mine just appeared too without me doing anything.  I find them really useful and I miss them now.  I don't think it's anything to do with the amount of times a page is used because I'm on here every day and it hasn't come back.

Asbean My son also uses Firefox - is it possible to keep IE as well as install Firefox, just in case I don't like it?

Pamsdish I might try IE 8 and see if they come back.

Thanks everyone.

Yes, you can keep IE if you install Firefox. Firefox better though  ;D

I've installed Firefox this morning, and I'm lovin' it!
It seems so quick in comparison with IE, or am I imagining it?

Still haven't got recently viewed websites on the tabs though.   ???

These are a feature of the google toolbar.
They should come back automatically as you use the browser, but if not they may be turned off.

To turn them on, click on the little spanner on the toolbar, the option is at the bottom of the first (search tab) page.
