Only if you use the gregorian calender, it's a bit different if you use the julian calender, and what about the mayan calender, or the egyptian, chinese, etc etc. it's only a date, set up for ease of world commerce!!

The only Friday the 13th that matters is Friday, April 13th. This is,according to folklore, the Devils birthday and all other Fri/13s are o/k. This superstition is a naval/marine one  which is first recorded in the UK in the Mabinogion (Welsh/Cymraeg tradition) but is also recorded elsewhwere in the European world. It,s one of a group of mariners superstitions like an earring in the left ear (to stop the devil looking over your shoulder), wearing a pigtail ( to stop the devil pulling you into the sea),the devil cannot push in this tradition!! There are loads more!! I sing trad folk(among other things) and I learnt these from chasing the meanings of songs as far back as I could, also from Stan Hugill who served on the last of the working tall ships.
