New spuds, strawberries, and a mini cucumber , looks like we may have some mange tout tommorow  :toothy10:

galina

Peas, broccoli, chard, broad beans (they were still tiny but yummie) and tons of lettuce.  First shallots (harvested because they got knocked out of the ground, but they are nearly ready anyway).  Lots of garlic because I have quite a few bulbs left and the new harvest is only weeks away.  Delighted how well the garlic has kept last year and we haven't even started on the Elephant garlic yet, which is the best keeper.

Today I will dig up the first of the potatoes.  I didn't get them in as early as I wanted, but a bit of exploring (firkling) shows promise.

Strawberries from the greenhouse are the first of the soft fruit (apart from rhubarb) with cream.  Normally we have ripe other soft fruit at this time of year, but not this year.  Goosegogs don't have long to go.

Borlotti

4 lbs of strawberries, gave some to next door, and neighbours as have already made jam.  Peas looking good, so am happy tonight.  Going away Saturday, so will pick Friday before I go.  Just had to show you my photo.  More than 3 peas today.

Mange tout, broccoli, kohl rabi, lettuce, rocket, radishes and spuds.  I fear I will be in pea glut for a very long time!  But it's better to have that problem than the other way round!

galina

Potatoes (Swift), peas, broad beans, first beetroot, gooseberries, lettuce and spring onion and chard.

antipodes

Made a nice salad with lottie spuds (Belle de Fontenay), red onions, basil, mint and (market-bought) tomatoes.
Tonight we are eating peas and mangetout peas, and must shell the broadies and cook them to eat later in salad. Tomorrow I will make a quiche with the big bunch of swiss chard and beet leaf I picked yesterday.
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Borlotti

Made some pea and courgette soup, had to try some before it went in the freezer and it was good.  Courgettes are multiplying and peas have done well.  Must be the nettle feed I gave them.
