netting vs mesh

Im in the process to buy myself some netting for my cabbage and the likes well was wondering what everybody else was using as I have built raised beds and have now constructed a structure around the beds approx 3 foot of the floor to hold up some decent netting

what im not looking for is that poor quality stretchy stuff want something that will last a few years if loked after small enough for cabbage white ptotection ,birds ext any ideas all welcom

PS need to cover 4m wide 4 m deep

I use debris netting for brassicas ~ it lets the rain and water through and gives protection from pigeons and The cabbage white!! I must say it was money well spent last year:)

There are lots of sites and I believe Ebay sells it too!!

thats not bad got any pics i think i would prefer 2m and join two pices as you see my beds are 8 foot wide by 10 foot suported by 3 foot high box frame around the outside want somthing to cover completly down the sides as well

I've gone over to 1/4" Netting this year - much lighter, if you don't have a good frame, & nicely see-through.

I used to have the plastic holey mesh available from DIY stores and garden emporia alike but got fed up of
having to fight off thousands of wretched flea beetle each year, which more or less reduced my poor seedling
cabbs to ribbons before they could get going.

I then bought a large pack of ultrafine enviromesh and haven't looked back. I know it's fairly dear but once on and
pegged down, it stops all manner of bugs and beasties. And it doesn't shred like the mesh does.
