Adverts on A4A

Can anyone tell me how the ads at the bottom of the page work? Do they bring in much money for A4A? Is it just up to Dan to decide who gets to advertise? The reason I ask is the current one for unsecured loans targeting people who already have debt problems- with a typical APR of 48%! Ok, I know, people can make their own minds up, but as a C.A.B. employee those things make my blood boil!

Yes I agree Caroline and when people are desperate they usually aren't rational.

I think the adverts are triggered by the words used in the posts. I doubt if anybody even reads them, but they must imprint on the mind without us realising. Now this thread is about the loan advert it will attach itself to this discussion.

Lets see if we can change it by using another word like FREE OFFER  in every posting on this thread.

So why when I accessed the site from Italy every ad at the bottom of a page was for an Italian adoption agency?  The ones at the top were the normal ones  ??? ??? ??? ::) ::) ::) ::)

Last week I taped Born Free offer my telly and the other day a lady gave me some plants - I got some Com free offer. Mind you, I think she had bats in the bel free - offer 'ead she was. Any more?
