I have to agree with you on that one *sawfish*....the squeals of delight were too much for me with Carol. I think shes a love or hate her person!

Hello all, I'm a bit late coming to this as only just caught up on my TV watching last night. Have to say I'm not impressed by Toby, much prefer Joe and Carol (although I seem to be in the minority liking Carol). In my opinion Toby pulls the show back to a 'boring' gardening programme.   :(

Another non vote (if thats possible) for Joe, he gets on my wick too!

NOT, for me i am afraid , i like a voice i can listen to & i thought he was a bit of a creep.  Not sure i shall watch anymore!!!!.
I miss Monty Don, very much very pleasant chap.

Was Monty an instant hit as a presenter or did people grow to like him?  Didn't watch GW back then.

Has there ever been a GW presenter that everyone liked from day one? I don't think so. Monty was heavily criticised by Peter Seabrook and others for his lack of professional skills - e.g. not knowing how to use a spade properly.

I can not imagine that the late great Geoff Hamilton will ever be replaced.

It is the gushing about 'delicious compost' and all puts me off too.

Finding someone interesting and knowledgeable without being patronising or too technical is proving very difficult it would seem.
