My biggest tom till now, just compare the size with the pumpkin in the middle.

On the scale it was 920 grams of delicious tasting tom,if you serve it on a plate and say it was watermelon the people will believe you, what a great taste for such a big tomato.

put seed pulp in a glass of water, let it rot for a few days, then rinse in a sieve, all other pulp rinses off, leaving clean seeds. dry on kitchen towel. rgds, Tony ;)
You couldn't make it up!

Thanks tonybloke,  will be my first 'seed' experience regarding toms and first seed from my own toms

Vegmandan that is a trombolini what you see on the top right corner.Tim i just feed them normally, alot of water in the greenhouse but that is because we have sandy soil.It is just a tomato who produce big tomatoes.Vegmandan here are some pictures from the plant himself in my greenhouse,it is still producing toms.

Wow that is HUUUUUUUGE

Gigantov eh? they weren't kidding when they named it.

I see you have the plant hooked up to several canes...how tall does it get?

ruud

It grows to the roof of the greenhouse what is 2,5 meter high,a little bit more than 8 feet high.

Wonderful Ruud :D, do they taste as good as they look?
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

ruud

yes they do star,if you make parts of it and serve it out on a party saying it is watermelon people will believe you.

I decided not t grow tomatoes this year when I noticed they were growing wild everywhere in the garden. I must have dumped a lot in the compost last year.  I decided to give a few of them a try and have been very pleased with the results getting a couple of pounds of fruit from each plant. Thats what I call gardening for free but I can' pretend I had any "Big Toms"

Cheers, ellie2cats
