I wonder whether it was the chilies, or somethng else. Hopefully the post mortem will establish that for sure. That's assuming they hold one; they often skip them these days, which doesn't help doctors who are left in the dark about what the patient really died of.

It is really dreadful, I just hope it wasn't a preserved sauce he had made.. It is certainly very scary though and so sad for his family.

I agree not enough info for this to really know what was going on but they are dangerous for those who are susceptible - remember the simpson's episode when Homer got chilli high  :'(
