Can't figure it - 2 adjacent identical bags, 2 entirely different states of  health.

And all the others are fine too.

Rosebank

Have the same problem.  Can't find an answer, if you do find the answer please let me know :(

calendula

trouble is, no 2 things are ever completely identical unless we use cloning - will they taste the same I wonder  :)

tim

Most fruit on the poorly plants are dying at 1" long - as they do when the plant is overloaded.

calendula

maybe the problem is with growbags - never use them myself  :)

I have one plant that has a cucumber that is growing really wellhowever the rests of the cucumbers growing on the same plant are really small.
Is this normal.............?

Well I know it is not normal, what I mean is why is this so?

tim

They can't - & shouldn't all be the same size, or the plant will be overloaded.

Grow bags, Calendula? I know that they are not the ultimate for growing, but we have no option, & they've served us well for 40 years or so. Conundrum is why one bag & not the other 29? Not all cus!!

calendula

I still think it is also more to do with each seed potential, even before it is sown it will have characteristics all of its own and this is what you are seeing now  :-\ but it would be boring if it were all the same  :)

tim

Everything is possible. But coincidence that the only 2 poor ones that I've ever had are in one bag this year??

Is this what you mean Betula?

tonybloke

do a nutrient level check on bag contents. check date of manufacture. Complain to supplier! ;)
You couldn't make it up!

Duke Ellington

Is the floor of your greenhouse level ? Just an idea? Could nutrients or water not be reaching some of the cucs?? As well as the others?

Duke
dont be fooled by the name I am a Lady!! :-*

tim

Complain, Or comment? I'm good at that!

Nutrients? How?

Level? Very! The other bags are side by side.

tonybloke

Nutrients? How?
a testing kit from a G.C.
COMPLAIN to Manufacturer. they may have some Q.C. problems in their bagging/mixing plant?
You couldn't make it up!
